Zanak formed in Bandung in 2012 around vocalist and songwriter Adhytia Sofyan, with bassist Raka Aufar, guitarist Ridho Phibry, and drummer Rian Pahlefi. They released their first album, 'Mencari,' in 2016.
That same year, their single 'Ami Oh' connected with listeners across Indonesia. The song deals with unrequited love in straightforward terms, and its music video featured Sofyan's performance.
In 2017, the band faced plagiarism allegations concerning their song 'Malam Biru,' which they denied. They put out an EP called 'Tentang Rasa' in 2018 and another album, 'Biru,' in 2021.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
