Zanchetta formed in 2011, a Brazilian band that put out its debut EP the following year. Their 2014 single 'Borboletinha' became a hit in Brazil, reaching the top of the charts there. The song's title references a butterfly, which the band's name also nods to.
Mayara Zanchetta sings and plays guitar, with Bruno Zanchetta on bass and vocals. Fernando Eguchi handles drums and percussion, while Serginho Carvalho plays keyboards and synths. They've worked with other Brazilian artists like Gilberto Gil, Seu Jorge, and Marisa Monte.
The group has toured internationally, playing shows in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Their music has been used in collaborations with environmental organizations, including Greenpeace and the World Wildlife Fund.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
