Zap WSii came out of São Paulo in 1999. Their name was an acronym for 'Zona Autônoma Permanente de Westeros e Sonzeira Instrumental,' which suggested they were after something self-contained and independent from the start. They had a song called 'Desculpa Zezim' that caught on.
Their debut album was called 'Psicotrópico Elétrico.' They followed it with records like 'O Som dos Intocáveis' and 'O Samba Que a Gente Quer.' The band's lineup included Raul Seixas on vocals and guitar, Lucas Santtana on drums, and Marcos Valle on bass.
Their lyrics sometimes touched on political or social themes, which didn't sit well with everyone. But the music found an audience, particularly with younger listeners in Brazil. They played a lot of shows and built a following around that.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
