Zappa Rulez is a Brazilian rock band that formed in the early 1980s. Their song "A Garota da Minha Rua" came out in 1983 and became widely known in Brazil, connecting with younger listeners at the time. The band's lineup included Bernardo Reinholz on vocals, Fernando Bonassi on guitar, Felipe Andreoli on bass, and Sérgio Dias on drums.
They released several albums over the next few decades, including "Não Me Deixe Só" in 1985, "Encontro das Águas" in 1990, and "Tudo que Eu Queria Era Você" in 2017. Their music sometimes drew criticism for pushing against social norms, but they maintained a following among fans who appreciated their direct approach.
Zappa Rulez recorded an acoustic album in 1999 called "Acústico" and put out a compilation titled "10 Anos" in 2007. Their work remained part of the Brazilian rock conversation through the 2000s and 2010s without becoming a mainstream constant.
