Zarahenla formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s with Nara Couto on vocals, André Travassos on guitar, Fábio Baptista on bass, and André Faria on drums. They started playing small venues around the city. Their debut album 'Entre Pensamentos' came out in 2007, and the title track became one of their best-known songs.
They followed that with albums like 'Somnia' in 2010 and 'Refúgio' in 2014. Some listeners found their sound too experimental, and Couto's lyrics sometimes drew attention for their themes. Other songs like 'Com ou sem você' and 'Passam as Horas' show their range within that atmospheric style.
They've kept recording, putting out 'Eclipse' in 2019 and 'Vórtice' in 2023. The lineup has stayed the same since they started.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
