Zaturno was a rock band from Sarajevo formed around guitarist and vocalist Zoran Konjic and bassist Dragan Pavlovic. Their debut album '2001' came out in 1978, with the title track becoming their most recognizable song. They later added keyboardist Borislav Nedic and drummer Goran Trbuljak to their lineup.
Their music had a space-themed quality that earned them a following, though some of the more dramatic claims about extraterrestrial influences in their work were likely just part of their mystique. Beyond '2001,' they recorded songs like 'Amor de Loto,' 'Amor Prohibido,' and 'Solo Para Ti' that showed their range.
They put out several albums including 'Astronaut,' 'Planetarium,' and 'Starlight' that continued in this vein. While they never became mainstream stars, their particular sound found an audience that appreciated its atmospheric quality.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
