Zavini formed in Salvador, Bahia, in the late 1990s, with Marcello Azevedo on vocals and guitar, André Carvalho on guitar, Fábio Teles on bass, and Pedro Fontes on drums. Their debut album, "Tempo de Sonhar," came out in 2003 and included the song "Sonho," which got radio play and helped them reach a wider audience in Brazil.
After that, they put out albums like "A Estrada do Sonho" in 2005 and "Entre Sonhos e Sonoros" in 2008, working with sounds from MPB, jazz, and electronic music. In 2009, there was some talk about plagiarism involving another artist's song, but the band kept going. Azevedo dealt with addiction around that time, and Fontes had a medical procedure.
Later records include "O Livro dos Sonhos" from 2012, "Acorda, Sonhador" from 2016, and "Sonhos de Um Novo Tempo" from 2020.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
