Zaza Sc formed in São Paulo in 2003 as a quartet with Marcello Abbud on vocals and guitar, Paulo Paulelli on bass, Marcelo Camelo on keyboards, and Marcelo Valle on drums. Their sound pulled from bossa nova, rock, and electronic music, which felt unconventional at first and took some time to find its audience.
They released albums like "Zaza" in 2006, "Olhar No Futuro" in 2008, and "Luz" in 2014. The title track "Olhar No Futuro" became their most recognized song, a quiet anthem that stuck around.
Zaza Sc kept touring and playing live, building a following drawn to the band's atmospheric, introspective sound. Their music never really broke into huge commercial territory, but it found a space where it could linger.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
