Zdenka Predná is a Slovak singer-songwriter born in 1972 in Brezno. She started singing young and joined the band Senzus in the early 1990s, where she began developing as a songwriter. Her first solo album came in 1996, sharing its name with the title track "Len Ty Smies."
That song, "Len Ty Smies," became a major hit in Slovakia. It's a tender ballad about unrequited love that connected with listeners and reached the top of the charts. She followed it with albums like "Sen" in 1997, "Zrkadlo" in 1999, and "Svetlo" in 2010.
Her work has included collaborations with other Slovak artists such as Peter Nagy and Ivan Tásler, as well as the band Elán. She performs with a regular group of musicians including guitarist Martin Gašpar, bassist Juraj Burian, drummer Martin Valihora, and pianist Peter Preložník.
