Zdravko Čolić was born in Sarajevo in 1951 and started performing as a teenager. He gained national attention in 1972 as the lead singer of the group Ambasadori. His solo career took off in 1977 with the album 'Ako si za ljubav rođena,' which included the song 'Jako, jako slabo srce zavodiš.'
He has recorded over forty studio albums, with titles like 'Zbog tebe,' 'Plavi safir,' and 'Ti si mi u krvi.' Some of his other well-known songs include 'Tabakera,' 'Vagabund,' and 'Ajde Idi.'
Čolić has worked with musicians like Goran Bregović and has performed with a band that has included Dejan Matić on keyboards and Aleksandar Sedlar on guitar. He faced some criticism in the 1980s over a financial matter, which he denied.
