Zé Eduardo is a Brazilian vocalist who formed a band under his name in the early 1980s with guitarist Sérgio Rocha and bassist Jorge Salomão. They came out of Salvador, Bahia, and their debut album arrived in 1984. That record included 'Doido Varrido,' which became a hit and helped establish them in Brazil's rock scene.
Their sound mixed rock with Brazilian popular styles, and they kept recording through the 1980s and 1990s. Other songs like 'Quanto Tempo' and 'Pra Bastar' show the band's range. The group faced some commercial shifts and a legal dispute over the band name in 2006, but Zé Eduardo continued performing and releasing albums into the 2010s.
Zé Eduardo's voice and lyrics have connected with listeners for decades. The band's catalog includes more than ten studio albums, from the 1984 debut to live recordings like 2013's 'Ao Vivo no Estúdio Showlivre.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
