Zé Eduardo Belarmino was born in Anápolis, Goiás, Brazil in 1957. He grew up around sertanejo music, a traditional Brazilian genre, and was influenced by artists like Luiz Gonzaga and Jackson do Pandeiro. In the late 1970s, he formed his first band, Zé Eduardo e o Forró do Suvaco.
The attention helped make the song a hit. He released albums including 'Bora Beber' in 1987 and 'O Homem do Suvaco' in 1991, working with musicians he called his Banda do Suvaco.
Belarmino's music mixed sertanejo rhythms with rock elements. He continued performing and recording, with later releases like 'Zé Eduardo Belarmino 20 Anos' in 2002 and 'Forró do Suvaco ao Vivo' in 2010.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
