Zé Guilherme comes from Três Pontas in Minas Gerais, where he started playing at local festivals. In 1999, producer César Augusto noticed him and he signed with Chantecler, releasing his self-titled debut album that same year. That record included 'Sonho de Menina,' which became a national hit.
He has worked with other sertanejo artists, including Michel Teló on the track 'Beijos de Mil.' Another song, 'Me Erra,' appears among his popular recordings.
After a serious accident in 2016, he eventually returned to performing. His band has included Wladimir on accordion, Juninho on bass, and Cleber on drums. He won a Prêmio Multishow in 2000 for 'Sonho de Menina' and a Prêmio Tim in 2009 for his acoustic album.
