Zé Henrique

Zé Henrique came up in Goiás, a part of Brazil with deep roots in folk music. He started playing early, drawing from sertanejo artists like Tião Carreiro and Inezita Barroso. His first album, 'De Alma Sertaneja,' came out in the early 1990s, and the song 'Caipira Romântico' from it caught on quickly. That track gave him a nickname that stuck.

He kept making records through the '90s and 2000s, putting out albums like 'Pra Sempre Sertanejo' and 'Brasil Sertanejo.' His music often mixed traditional sertanejo with other sounds, and he worked with musicians including his brother Rildo Andrade and guitarist Zé Neto. Other songs like 'Estupidamente Apaixonado' and 'Admirável Gado Novo' show the range in his catalog.

Zé Henrique's views on tradition and society sometimes sparked talk, but he maintained a direct connection with listeners who appreciated his style. His performances, often energetic and heartfelt, helped build a following that extended beyond Brazil's borders.
