Zé Luiz and Jotta Júnior were a Brazilian duo who formed in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro in 1990. They started out performing as Swing Vibration before meeting producer Tadeu Mathias in 1993, which led to a record deal with EMI-Odeon. Their debut album 'Só Quero Te Amar' came out in 1995.
That album included 'Seu Amor É Tudo,' which became a major hit across Brazil. The song's success brought them attention, though it also led to copyright disputes. They worked in samba and sertanejo styles, releasing six studio albums between 1995 and 2007.
Zé Luiz, born Luiz Pereira de Oliveira, handled lead vocals and guitar. Jotta Júnior, born Josenildo Gomes Junior, sang and played keyboards. Their music found an audience with romantic themes and straightforward arrangements.
