Zebeba formed in the early 2000s with members from Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon. Their debut album 'Bek Do Bob' came out in 2005, and the title track became their most recognizable song. The band's lineup included Hanaa Ed Deeb on vocals, Ziad Rajab on guitar, Mazen Mhanna on bass, and Nadim Jarjoura on drums.
They released several albums over the following decade, including 'Alwan' in 2007, 'Soura' in 2010, 'Majnoun' in 2013, and 'Omnia' in 2016. Other songs like 'Homem Lábia,' 'Sequelou,' and 'Ver o Mar' show the range of their catalog.
Their music drew from different traditions, mixing Arabic rhythms with Western rock and electronic elements. The lyrics often touched on love and social themes, which sometimes sparked debate among listeners. They kept making music on their own terms rather than smoothing out their sound.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
