Zebelin Compositor formed in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1990s, with vocalist Rodrigo Garcia and guitarist Marcelo Costa at the core. They released their first album, Meu Mundo, in 2000. The band's breakthrough came in 2002 with the song Só Pode Ser Amor, which gained attention across Brazil for its melody and lyrics that some found suggestive.
Their lineup eventually included bassist André Rodrigues and drummer Ricardo Santos. They continued releasing albums like O Que É Que Você Quer Da Vida? in 2005 and Para Sempre in 2008, touring and building a following. Their most recent album, O Amor Que Não Acaba, came out in 2012.
