Zebeto Corrêa came from Palmares in Pernambuco, where he grew up hearing the music of Luiz Gonzaga and Jackson do Pandeiro. In 1963, he started performing with his brother Miro as the duo Os Irmãos Corrêa, playing regional music that eventually caught the ear of Alceu Valença.
His song 'Trem Noturno' came out in 1977 and became a national hit in Brazil.
Corrêa kept recording through the 1980s and beyond, putting out albums like Forró no Escuro in 1983 and Viola de Forro in 2002. His music sometimes blended forró with other styles, and he worked with musicians including accordion player Raimundinho do Acordeon.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
