Zebillin formed in 1984 around singer-songwriter Marcos Valle, who had already been active in Brazilian music. They put out their self-titled debut album the next year, which included the song "A Casa Caiu." The track became widely known, capturing a certain mood of the time.
Their second album, "Alto Fluxo," came out in 1987. The band played energetic live shows and became a familiar presence on TV and radio during that period. They released a third album, "Astronomia Popular," in 1989 before disbanding in 1990.
After Zebillin ended, Marcos Valle continued with a solo career. The other members, Armandinho, Jorge Mautner, and José Carlos Costa Netto, kept working in music. The group's recordings, particularly "A Casa Caiu," have remained in circulation.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
