Zeca Sempre is a Brazilian band from São Paulo that formed in 2004. They started with four childhood friends: Zé Carlos on vocals and guitar, Carlos on bass, Paulo on drums, and Bruno on keyboards. Their first album came out in 2008, called "Por Onde Andei."
That debut album included "O Que Faz Falta," a ballad that connected with listeners in Brazil. The song has a straightforward, longing quality that became something people recognized them for early on.
They kept making albums through the 2010s, with titles like "Tempo de Mudar" in 2011, "Não Pare de Sonhar" in 2014, and "Simplesmente" in 2017. Their lyrics often touch on social themes, which has drawn both support and criticism over time.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
