Archive material and source history
Zedapeda was a Brazilian duo consisting of Nando Reis on vocals, guitar, and songwriting, with Felipe Cambraia handling drums, percussion, and production. They released their debut album in 1997, which included the song "Esqueceu de Mim." Cambraia left the group in 2002 to work on his own music, after which Reis continued as a solo artist.
Their cover of the Eagles' "Hotel California" led to a copyright dispute that resulted in some of their recordings being taken down from streaming services. Reis also drew attention for his political views and personal life, which sometimes became subjects of media discussion.
They put out a second album called "Eu Sou Assim" in 1999, followed by a compilation titled "Made in Brazil" in 2001. Reis released a solo album, "Besteira É Pouco," in 2003. The duo's work, particularly "Esqueceu de Mim," found an audience with its direct emotional tone.
