Zeekcho formed in 2001 with guitarist and vocalist Yutaka Takei, bassist Hiroto Kida, and drummer Daisuke Yoshimura. Their song 'Black Cat' came out in 2003 and got some attention for its haunting melody. In 2006, Hiroto Kida left the band and was replaced by Ayumi Okabe.
They released a debut album called 'Cosmic Caravan' in 2003, followed by other albums like 'Awakening' in 2005, 'Illusion' in 2007, and 'Aurora' in 2010.
Zeekcho worked with guitarist Kazumi Watanabe and the string quartet Q-String on some recordings. Their music moved between progressive rock and dream pop sounds over those years.
