Ze'ev Revach was born in Jerusalem in 1956 and began writing songs as a teenager. His debut album 'Asher Lo Yihyeh' came out in 1978, featuring his raw vocal style. The 1980 album 'Ach Ya Rab' included the title track that became widely known in Israel.
His lyrics often addressed social issues directly, which sometimes led to public criticism. In 1990, he faced legal charges related to a song about the First Intifada. Other songs like 'Duet Haslichah' show his range beyond political material.
Revach has worked with guitarist Yossi Yehezkel and released albums through the 2000s, including 'Nishmat Yisrael' in 2006. His music maintains a straightforward, vocal-driven approach that connects with listeners who appreciate direct expression.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
