Zeeza formed in Los Angeles in the late 1970s with Bobby Strickland on vocals and guitar, Bill Spooner on keyboards, Michael Carlos on bass, and Tony Fernandez on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1979 and included the song "Baby Come Back," which became their most recognizable track. They followed it with albums like "Shadows of the Past" in 1981 and "Desolation Row" in 1983.
Beyond "Baby Come Back," their catalog includes songs like "Devotions," "Evangelina," and "The Pagan Birthday Song." The band went through some lineup changes over time, and they put out a compilation called "The Lost Tapes" in 1985.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
