Archive material and source history
Zegapain formed in 2006 around vocalist Masato Nakayama and guitarist Shinji Kato. Their debut album 'Nisemono' came out in 2008, mixing rock and punk with some alternative touches. The band includes bassist Yoichi Fujita and drummer Kazuhito Tsukui.
In 2010, Nakayama had to deal with a vocal cord polyp that forced some concert postponements. Their lyrics sometimes drew criticism for addressing social and political topics, but they kept writing what they wanted to write.
They put out albums like 'Houkai' in 2012, 'Cosmo' in 2014, and 'Singularity' in 2017. Some of their songs, including 'Kimi he Mukau Hikari' and 'Last Blue,' have appeared in anime and video game soundtracks.
