Zel Florizel

Zel Florizel formed in Vitória in 2009, with Rodrigo Reys on vocals and guitar, Andy Jakubowicz on bass, Vitor de Paula on drums, and Rafael Lima on guitar. They released their debut album 'A Sóis' in 2014, which established their sound with its raw, introspective quality. The band followed it up with 'Azul' in 2017, and has since put out 'Entre Vãos' in 2020 and 'No Mar' in 2023.

Their songs like 'Na Mesma Sala', 'Coisas da Paixão', and 'Entre Linhas' often work with folk and rock elements, though they've been known to blur genre lines. Some critics have found their lyrics overly pessimistic or self-indulgent, but the band has generally stuck to their own approach without much concern for industry expectations.
