Zeljko Joksimovic is a Serbian singer-songwriter and composer from Belgrade, born in 1972. He started playing piano at nine and was in a band called Novi Dej as a teenager. In 2004, he represented Serbia and Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest with the ballad 'Lane Moje,' finishing second.
His 2005 album 'The Secret' included 'Tanana,' which became widely popular across multiple countries. Other songs like 'Amajlija' and '7 Godina' appear in his catalog. He has released albums such as '111' in 2001 and 'Ljubavi' in 2009.
In 2010, there was a plagiarism claim about his song 'Lejdi,' but it was dismissed. His band has included musicians like Jovana Nikolic on backing vocals and Vladimir Jovanovic on guitar. He continues to perform and record music.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
