Zemi was a Turkish trio that formed around 2011. The group consisted of Berkay Şahin on vocals, Hakan Kurşun on guitar, and Uğurcan Akyürek on drums. Their song 'Sen Yoksun' came out that year and became their most recognizable track.
That song and others like 'Sensiz Olmuyor' and 'Beni Bırakma' leaned toward emotional ballad territory. They kept releasing music through at least 2016 with 'Olmaz'. The band faced some criticism early on about their sound and later dealt with plagiarism allegations, which they denied.
