Zemmoa formed in Monterrey, Mexico in the early 2000s, playing local clubs and festivals. Their debut album 'Corazón de Fuego' came out in 2005 and included the song 'Mi Amor Soy Yo,' which featured Venezuelan singer Tessa Ia and the German electropop band Trans-X.
Alejandro Ferreira has been the band's vocalist and songwriter. Other members have included Ricardo Garza on guitar, Rubén Treviño on bass, Alejandro Mendoza on drums, and Mayela Treviño on vocals. They followed their debut with albums like 'Vientos de Cambio' in 2007 and 'Pasión y Alma' in 2009.
Their songs include 'Pendejo,' 'Vivir Así Es Morir de Amor,' and 'Ni Tú Ni Nadie.' In 2010, there were plagiarism allegations regarding a melody in their song 'Si No Estás Aquí,' but these were eventually dismissed.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
