Zen Cafe formed in 1997 with Chito Miranda on vocals and guitar, Paolo Valenciano on bass, Kitchie Nadal on drums, and Pong Pagsisihan on keyboards. Their debut album 'The Way I Feel' came out in 1999, mixing pop and rock sounds. In 2003, their second album 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' included the single '1-2-3,' which became a chart-topping hit in the Philippines.
Nadal left the band in 2006, and Japs Sergio later joined as drummer. They released several more albums like 'Mateo's Way' in 2005 and 'Habitual Love' in 2008. Miranda has also worked on solo projects while staying with the band, which now includes Valenciano, Pagsisihan, and Sergio.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
