Zenio Junior formed in Curitiba, Brazil in 1997, with Daniel Amaral on vocals, Marcelo Martinez on guitar, Michel Joppert on bass, and Pedro Costa on drums. Their debut album 'Temporal' came out in 2000 and included the song 'Agora Sei.'

After Costa left in 2001, the band brought in drummer João Leite. They released a second album called 'Dos Dias do Amanhã' in 2003, then put out 'Depois do Amanhã' in 2007. Later albums included 'Alma' in 2012 and a self-titled record in 2017.
