Zenno formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s, a hardcore band built around vocalist Fabio Brazza, guitarist Rodrigo Fernandes, bassist Andre Franco, and drummer Ricardo Miranda. They started playing small venues, working through the usual financial struggles that come with building an underground following.
Their 2005 debut album "360°" got them some attention, but it was 2008's "Negatividade" that really defined them. The title track became something of an anthem, a blunt piece of social criticism that resonated with listeners. They followed it with albums like "A Revolução dos Piores" in 2011 and "O Nada" in 2014.
Their lyrics often took aim at political corruption and inequality, which earned them both fans and critics. They kept at it, releasing a self-titled album in 2018. Songs like "Negatividade" and "Sujo Trap" show the kind of direct, heavy sound they built their name on.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
