Zentrifugal formed in Munich in the late 1980s with Michael "Mika" Spreng on vocals and guitar, Reimer Bustorff on bass, and Kai Wingenfelder on drums. They put out their first album, "90°," in 1991. The band's 1995 album "An Diesigen Tagen..." gave them their most recognizable song, the title track, which developed a following.
Their catalog includes albums like "96," "1000," and "Polylux," stretching into the 2000s and 2010s with releases such as "Zeitgeist" and "Terra." Other songs in their repertoire include "Coolawinta," "Das süße Leben," and "Entspann Dich."
Zentrifugal's music often dealt with introspective themes and mental health, which sometimes drew attention. Their sound incorporated some electronic and ambient touches over time while keeping a generally moody, alternative rock foundation.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
