Archive material and source history
Zenttric formed in Caracas, Venezuela in 1999 with vocalist Manuel Lira, guitarist Carlos Saavedra, bassist Alejandro Álvarez, and drummer Juan Carlos Nieto. They started playing bars and clubs around that time. Their debut album 'Camino de Luz' came out in 2003, featuring the song 'Avisame' which became their most recognizable track.
Lira writes most of the lyrics, which tend toward introspective themes. The band has released several albums including 'Piel de Luna' in 2005, 'Corazón Abierto' in 2008, and 'Alma Mía' in 2016. Other songs in their catalog include 'Contrario,' 'Facil,' and 'Olvídate de Mí.'
While the lineup has seen some changes, Lira, Saavedra, and Nieto have remained consistent members. Their music blends rock and pop with Latin rhythms, though they've occasionally drawn attention for lyrics some listeners found dark or unsettling.
