Zero 16 was a Spanish rock band from Madrid that formed around the turn of the millennium. The group consisted of Raúl Jiménez on vocals, Carlos Jiménez on guitar, Javi Guerrero on bass, and Txus Alonso on drums. They released three studio albums between 2001 and 2005, starting with their debut "016" in 2001.
Their song "Código De Area" from that first album became particularly well-known. The track sparked some discussion about urban and rural divides in Spain, which gave the band a reputation for addressing social themes in their music.
Zero 16 disbanded in 2007. Their music, especially "Código De Area," continues to be remembered by fans of that era of Spanish rock.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
