Zero Dois Sete formed in São Paulo in 2005 with Felippe Dettmann on vocals and guitar, Gustavo Estrela on bass, and Eduardo Nozawa on drums. Their debut album "Pleno" came out in 2007 but didn't catch much attention at first. They kept working and released their second album "O Que Eu Não Disse" in 2010, which turned things around for them.
The title track "O Que Eu Não Disse" became their breakthrough song, a ballad about unspoken feelings that connected with listeners across Brazil. After that, they put out three more studio albums: "Contrapontos" in 2012, "Aurora" in 2017, and "Sol" in 2019. Their music often dealt with personal themes and sometimes touched on social issues, which occasionally sparked some debate.
Felippe Dettmann's vocals and lyrics were central to their sound, supported by Estrela's bass lines and Nozawa's drumming. They built a following in Brazilian rock circles with their straightforward approach to songwriting and performance.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
