Zero Sete Um formed in Salvador, Bahia in 2003, drawing from the region's axé, samba, and baião traditions. Their debut single "Beija Flor" came out in 2005 and became a national hit, giving the band its first real break.
They've released six studio albums, including their self-titled debut in 2005 and later records like "O Mundo É Meu" in 2007 and "Só Pra Ficar" in 2018. The 2009 live album "Acústico" featured reworked versions of earlier material. Their lineup has included vocalist Alexandre Peixe and guitarist Carol Marques, among others.
While their music blends Brazilian rhythms with pop and rock elements, they've maintained a consistent presence in Brazil's party and celebration scenes. Their recordings and live shows have kept them active without requiring dramatic reinvention.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
