Zero Zero formed in Austin, Texas in the late 1990s as a trio with Justin Hornsby on vocals and guitar, Tom Young on bass, and Greg Nesteroff on drums. Their debut album 'The Luxury of Despair' came out in 1999, and they followed it with 'AM Gold' in 2001. That album's title track became their most recognizable song, along with others like 'Back to Hell' and 'Speed Garage' that showed their particular take on indie pop.
They released three more albums after that: 'Salt' in 2004, 'Solaris' in 2007, and 'The End of Zero Zero' in 2011. Keyboardist and guitarist Chris Anderson joined the band around 2004. The group disbanded after their final album, with Hornsby going on to solo work while Young and Nesteroff pursued other musical projects.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
