Zero61 formed in 2002 in São Domingos de Rana, a small town near Lisbon. The band's early lineup included Hugo Costa on vocals and guitar, Rui Saraiva on guitar, and Nuno Silva on bass. They released their debut album 'Vértigo' in 2004, which helped bring them national attention in Portugal.
The track led to legal threats and debates about artistic freedom. Despite this, the band continued recording, putting out albums like 'O Bom, o Mau e o Vilão' in 2009 and 'O Mundo É Nosso' in 2012.
Their catalog includes songs like 'Segundo Encontro' and 'Chance Perdida,' which featured Jansen. The band's lineup later included drummer João Santos. Zero61 released six studio albums between 2004 and 2018, with their final album 'Mil Vidas' arriving in 2018.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
