Zero8quatro formed in São Paulo in 2008 with Bruno Alves on vocals and guitar, Fernando Pasqualin on guitar, Felipe Zacchi on bass, and Fabricio Tavares on drums. They put out their self-titled debut album in 2010. The song 'Amanhecer Sem Sol' from their 2014 release became a breakout track for them.
Their music leans toward Brazilian alternative rock with heavy guitar work and introspective lyrics. Songs like 'Barcos No Oceano' and 'Álcool' show their range within that space. In 2016, they replaced their original bassist with Zacchi.
They've built a following with a sound that doesn't shy away from darker or melancholic themes. Tracks such as 'Inúteis Lágrimas' and 'Meus Olhos' reflect that approach. They've kept working in the years since, putting out material like 'Nitidez' and 'Sob o Céu e Sobre o Mar.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
