Zeromeia formed in 2000 with Jonas Barreto on vocals and guitar, Leo Guimarães on bass, André Carneiro on drums, and Felipe Marques on keyboards. They released their self-titled debut album in 2008, which included the song 'Escrito nas estrelas.' That track became their breakout single, known for its melodic quality and reflective lyrics.
Their second album 'Caldo de Cultura' came out in 2011, followed by 'Elo' in 2014, 'Remanescer' in 2018, and 'Fortaleza' in 2021. Other songs in their catalog include 'Acreditar' and 'Encontro.' The band's lineup has stayed consistent since their formation.
In 2016, Zeromeia faced some criticism for performing at a political rally associated with a right-wing party. Jonas Barreto has also spoken publicly about dealing with depression and anxiety, using his position to discuss mental health awareness.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
