Zerosete formed in São Paulo in the late 1970s with Guilherme Arantes on vocals and guitar, Maurício Maestro on drums, and Sérgio Sampaio on bass.
Their music drew from rock, soul, and funk while incorporating Brazilian rhythms. Beyond "O Mundo É Meu," their catalog includes songs like "Homem Primata," "Não Quero Saber," and "Liberdade, Liberdade." The band recorded six studio albums and performed shows across Brazil and Latin America.
Zerosete's lineup also featured keyboardist Luciano Alves. Their work from that era remains part of Brazilian rock's development, with "O Mundo É Meu" still recognized as a notable song from the period.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
