ZeroUm formed in São Paulo when rapper Slim and producer Tucão started working together in the early 2010s. Their debut album '011' came out in 2016, and its track '12 Horas' with Diego Thug, VK, and MC Cond got a lot of attention. They followed that with albums like 'Trap no Mundo' in 2017 and 'Fase Mansa' in 2018.
Their songs often feature other rappers from the scene. You can hear that on tracks like 'Ficar Contigo' with Diego Thug and VK, or 'Me Deixa' with MC Cond and Rugal. The group expanded to include MC Hariel, MC Kevin, and MC IG alongside the founding members.
In 2020 they released 'Quarentena'. Their music draws from trap and Brazilian funk, and lyrics sometimes touch on street life, which has led to some public debate about their content. They've kept a steady output without much mainstream press, building a following through their recordings and collaborations.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
