Zetsu formed in Bragança Paulista, São Paulo, with founding members Vitor Hugo Ramil on vocals and Thiago Costa on guitars. Their debut single "É Ele Mesmo" came out in 2015, and they released a self-titled album the following year. The band's sound leaned on rock and electric guitars within a worship context, which drew some attention for being less conventional than what was typical in Brazilian Christian music at the time.
Later albums included "Luz" in 2018 and "Viver" in 2020. Other musicians like Bruno Mendes, Anderson Ramos, and Fabrício Emer have played with the group. They've worked with artists such as Fernandinho, Daniela Araújo, and Leonardo Gonçalves.
In 2019, vocalist Vitor Hugo Ramil faced allegations of sexual misconduct, which he denied. The band took a break for a while after that. They returned to recording and performing afterward.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
