Zezé e Toninho were a Brazilian sertanejo duo from Pirenópolis, Goiás, consisting of brothers Zezé di Camargo and Toninho. They started making music in the 1970s and released their debut album 'É o Amor' in 1980. Their song 'Arapuca' became particularly well-known in Brazilian popular music.
Their music worked within sertanejo traditions while incorporating some contemporary touches. Beyond 'Arapuca,' another track like 'Capim Guiné' shows their style. They recorded several albums including 'Vendaval,' 'Dois Violeiros,' and 'Festa no Interior.'
Zezé, born Mirosmar José de Camargo, was known for a more public persona. His brother Toninho, whose full name was Welson David de Camargo, generally kept a lower profile. The duo's partnership lasted through various phases of Brazilian music.
