Zezinho (José Carlos Fonseca) and Alice (Alice de Souza) began performing together in São Paulo in the early 1970s. Their 1974 debut album 'Abre As Portas' gave them their breakthrough, with the title track becoming their most recognizable song. They worked as a vocal and guitar duo, releasing albums like 'Lágrima de Amor' in 1976 and 'Coração Brasileiro' in 1981.
They kept recording through the 1980s and 1990s with albums including 'Paraíso' and 'Anjo do Amanhã,' and returned in 2004 with 'Uma História de Amor.' Songs like 'É Tão Lindo' and 'Obrigado Jesus' became part of their repertoire alongside 'Abre As Portas.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
