Zezinho, known as O Galeguinho do Forró, came from Maceió and worked in the forró tradition. He recorded more than thirty albums, and his song 'Forró de Tonelada' became popular while also drawing some criticism for its lyrics about heavy partying.
He sometimes collaborated with other Brazilian musicians like Elba Ramalho and Luiz Gonzaga. His band included accordion players Luiz Oliveira and Vavá do Acordeon, along with bassist Marcones and drummer Zé Nilson.
Zezinho died in 2008. Another of his well-known tracks is 'Mané do Celular'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
