Zhala is a musical project led by Zhana Maree. They released their debut EP 'Red, White, and Blue' in 2013. The track 'Holes (Deep Throat Choir Rework)' came out in 2018, and they've put out albums like 'No End' in 2020 and 'All the Time' in 2022.
Their music works with electro-pop textures and experimental approaches. The lineup has included guitarist Chris Egan, drummer Jordan Raine, and bassist Alex Burkat alongside Maree.
Some of their songs, like 'Prophet' and the reworked 'Holes,' show their interest in layered production and vocal arrangements. They've kept making music without much concern for fitting neatly into commercial categories.
