Zheng Yuan formed in 2019 with Qiu Sen on vocals and guitar, Yu Wei on keyboards, Tian Xi on bass, and Li Ran on drums. They released their debut single "Yi Wan Ge Li You" in 2021, which connected with listeners and brought them wider attention. The song became the title track for their first album in 2022.
Their second album, "Ji Yi Shu Xiang," followed in 2023. The band has faced some questions about originality in their work, which they've addressed by saying their music comes from personal experience.
