Zhi-vago formed in 1984 when Enrique Bunbury and Juan Valdivia met in Zaragoza, Spain. They started playing small venues while trying to get a record deal. Their debut album 'Pájaros de Fuego' came out in 1989, followed by 'Pop-Purrí' in 1991, which drew some criticism for its experimental direction.
The band's 1994 album 'Frágil' included the single 'Celebrate', which became their biggest hit internationally. They kept recording through the 1990s and 2000s with albums like 'Unzucht' and 'El Tiempo de la Tormenta'. Bunbury and Valdivia remained the core members through various lineup changes over time.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
